In a white room filled with circles and a gray floor, in the middlw was a octogon shaped console with many buttons, levers, switchs, and knobbs. There stood an elder fit man with short snow white hair, royal blue eyes, wearing a white dress jacket, a clay brown plaid vest, grain brown pants with dirt brown shoes. He was busy fliping switchs, turning knobs, if one didn't know any better they thought he was an incarnation of the doctor or maybe another timelord. The fact though was that he was not, he was a man born on earth but he was a man who was immune to the decay of time. He set the coordinates for his destination and pulled a lever going off to land.
The year was 1967 and it looked like a beautiful sunny day at NASA. It was until in a storage room beside a storage crate a warped grind is heard and a silver ghost rolls royce slowly appears. The driver door opens and out steps this elderly man who seems as odd as how the rolls royce appeared. He looked around nodding with a smile "Ah yes, this is the date! 1967! The Gemini project! I can't wait to look around." He smiled and looked to his rolls royce. He put a tarp he found over the rolls royce to hide it from them just long enough for him to take a look at the early project that would become apollo.

Tired Shannon walked along the never ending corridor of the E-building. After listening to Mr. Marvin's constant mourning about him being underestimated in public, she went off without him noticing that at all... Her colleague was quite weird, but after all nothing was able to surprise Shannon anymore...
"Apollo... What little pervert calls it 'Apollo'? It sounds like 'A pollo-naise'.... ...Or 'A-pology'...." She mumbled to herself - Being sure of nobody listening at all.
"...And anyway... Do we need to apologize for anything apart from being number 2?! ...At least that Glenn-guy was cute..."
She yawned, turned to her right and found what she was looking for : The coca-cola automate. She got herself a bottle. "Yush... Fresh caffeine...." She whispered while opening the bottle and taking a deep gulp. She closed her eyes for a moment, until suddenly something caught her attention - An ominous noise from one of the Storage-rooms.
Normally they were locked... Shannon raised her eyebrows and decided to take a sneak...

The elderly man known to many as Doc Paradox made his way to the end of the storage room filled with test models and prototypes of what would have been used in the Gemini and Apollo missions. he smiled as he looked them over with care before deciding to look at the project itself so he made his way to the door and opened the door. He walked out smiling looking around and then spotted a woman with a bottle of cola. He walked over to her with a smile.
"Hello there I'm Doc Paradox. Whats your name?" he extended his hand to her.
(did you read my friend request in gaia.)

Leaving her there with her mouth open, and a really really stupid facial expression of pure disbelief, Shannon almost forgot to continnue her coke. "Errr... Ya... I can see you already took a look at the test models.... Doctor."
She was unsure if he was maybe just a non-announced new colleague - How many people introduced themselfes with their tiltles? But then again, he had no ID card at his collar, and his outfit looked quite unfamiliar to Shannon. She toyed with the idea to call the security, but then again he looked relaxed and friendly and not like someone who was not intended to be here.
"...I see you didn't get your ID-card yet... Employee or visitor?" She asked, while doing some steps towards him, and taking a closer look at his most unusual outfit. "..Maybe I can help you, if you have questions..."

In the far reaches of space, a sattelite appears over Earth with a camera at the end. On the other side, inside a massive ship, someone watches the activities of one Time Lord - The Doctor. "Ah, Doctor. It has been a long time since we last met", the voice said. He spoke in an electronic, but human, voice.

He looked to her for a moment and smiled "Aw yes I haven't gotten my tag, I just arrived you might say. Tell me are you part of the gemini project? I'm most interested in that. You might say I have a vested interest in it." He looked to her wondering if she was the famous scientist that dissappeared after the apollo project was chosen over the gemini project.

[NRPG : Oi, a famous scientist?! *hehehe* That's candy for my ego XD]
Raisng an eyebrow she took a more intense look at Doc Paradox. "Excuse me, but... How the heck did you manage to enter this complex without a tag?..." Her deepest inner paranoia already began to whisper to her that he was sent by the Reds...
"...Fact is, I AM part of this project. Maybe you should come with me and meet the executive officer..." Diplomatically (and in anticipation not to grow distrust from his side) she pointed into the direction of the corridor. "...When did you arrive? Today morning? Unfortunately there's a lot of stress at the moment - Someone seems to have missed to inform us about new personnel - Of whatever sort..."

Doc Paradox smiled as he walked with her and explained "Um well I just arrive a few moments ago infact. So what is your name by the way? You wouldn't happen to be the famous scientist walters, would you? If not I can tell you or you might already know that she is a woman of great genius but because of the gender issues of today they didn't go for her project." He explained as they moved along "I'm a sort of scientist myself so I thought I would take a look at it because I have been a great admirer of her work."

Shannon again raised an eyebrow and stopped for a second. Did he just say 'her project'?... Of course she had something... Some ideas regarding a re-usable spacecraft she planned to suggest to the project management one day, but how did he know that?!... But then again, he maybe was just toying with her, and trying to sound her for some new ideas worth copying as long as she had no patent application for it... Maybe he didn't even know about her own little ideas... ...And maybe it was even worse...
"So you're aaahhh... Searching for Doctor Walters... I think you've found her. Congrats." She pressed out a little smile while thinking about him calling her a genius - Not that she didn't enjoy it, but her current work - even if she liked it - was not exactly allowing her to use her full potential at all.
"...So you're a fellow colleague then." She began again. "...What are your special fields of work? I mean, apart from popping up somewhere unannounced, passing the security without ID tag and showing interest in our work.... Maybe you dunno that this can scratch someone's reputation, my dear... You sound like being either a Soviet-spy or someone who tries to flirt with me. I dunno which one I should find more scary." Even if she smiled warm, she in fact was worried about the first option...
"Just come along this way... By the way - I never heared someone being called Paradox..."

He smiled and extended her hand "I'm very pleased to meet you I have seen your work and think you are quite a genius and america is glad to have you." he smiled before answering her questions about what kind of scientist was he.
"Well I'm a professor of many things, most you think is only in theory. I'm also a trained fighter and inventor of sorts."
Then he heard her mention that he could be a communist spy.
"You think I'm a communist?" He laughed for a moment or two.
"Perfectly understandable to suspect in this day and age. I personally think most russians weren't communist. I mean I fought with a few russians during world war two and well they were nice chaps. They had families and loved ones who they wished to go back to once the war was over. I suppose alot of things changed when mccarthy came around with his fake list, hopeing just hopeing to worm his way into office with his "better dead than red" way of thinking. I mean to say is that not all the russians were commie spies, only a few of them. I caught a few during my work for the U.S. Government as John Deaux. Now how I got in here without a pass well just look up my record and I'm sure my picture would be in there." He smiled to her remembering the times he spent helping and fighting it was a good life though he lost many friends along the way because of the war.
He then heard her question about his name "Well you see thats my name, Doc Paradox. I mean I have met men whose names were Charles Riddle, Robert Bots, so I think its perfectly ok to have a name like Paradox, don't you?"

In the ship, an electronic cackle is heard. "Oh, Doctor, you seem to think everything's a joke. I will haunt you. Never doubt it."

Shannon cleared her throat. Allright - He called her a genius because he had seen some of her work. Who didn't like to be called a genius - Especially in her field of work - But nevertheless something was wrong about that man - Even if he was NOT a soviet spy...
"Welll... She began grinning a little. Actually I do not say you are a communist - It's just one of the most logical possibilities - But that doesn't has to mean 'yes'... I nevertheless would be quite interested in yor... Well, let's call it Background. You seem to be a man who got quite much... around in the world, if I may say so."
She smiled a little, but nevertvheless didn't stop being diplomatic and careful - Not just only because the man's affilliation was unclear, but also because rare of the things he said made much sense to her - Be also that didn't have to mean anything wrong yet, as long as he was able to give a proper explanation.
She finally reached out her hand into his direction to shake his - at least if he wanted to do so.
"Geeee... I'm sorry. I forgot my manners, Doctor..." She finally began. "...Welcome to NASA - Apollo-project development team. I'm, sure you'll find it most interesting - But first things first... What about a big cup of hot coffee? No work-discussions, no hearing about your curriculum vitae, just a coffee and maybe some smalltalk to get to know each other. What do you think?"

Doc Paradox nodded "That would be wonderful, and I haveing small talk with you is just fantastic over a large cup of coffee." he smiled to her as he walked with her "Well its not really doctor although I do have a phd in many different medicines, sciences, and mathematics but well I am called like Doc Savage or Doc Holiday although really in the books Doc Savage was called Doctor Clark Savage Jr. Now tell me how did you get into the business of the being a scientist?" he asked as they walked to the coffee machine.
